According to a press release issued here on Thursday the delegation also included Senior GM Corporate Planning and Logistics Abdul Majeed Sheikh, SGM Malik Azam, Head of Public Relations Shafiq Ahmad Shaikh. While Polad Marvan Polad, Khalid Iqbal Malik and Mian Javed Habib Vohra represented the dealers of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited.
It further stated Prime Minister welcomed the initiatives and participation of the Pak Suzuki Motor Company, its staff and dealers for rupees 10 millions cash donation, two imported 4x4 Jimny jeeps, three Bolan hi-roof vans converted into ambulances and 20 Suzuki 125 cc motorcycles to facilitate relief efforts for earthquake victims. All these vehicles and motor cycles were displayed at PM house and Prime Minister took personal interest in all vehicles and drove the ambulance.
Prime Minister also appreciated the personal interest taken by Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan Chairman and CEO Osamu Suzuki for the condolence and donations from Suzuki group.
The Prime Minster said Pakistan was organising international donors' conference on November 19 to highlight the requirements for relief and rehabilitation works.
The Prime Minister said due to heavy losses in the affected areas, the reconstruction process would continue for several years. He commended the rescue, relief and rehabilitation work being done by Pakistan Army with the help of many national and international organisations.
He said it's a big challenge for Pakistan and expressed hope the government would face it with the help of national and international community.
MD & CEO Pak Suzuki Kenichi Ayukawa assured full help, co-operation and assistance from the Pak Suzuki Motor Company in the gigantic work of rehabilitation and reconstruction in the affected areas.-PR
